About Kikitoru
One person, one idea
Kikitoru is built by Amit Mor, founder of 231self.com. The idea started from a simple frustration: every time I listened to a podcast in Japanese, I had to pause, switch to a dictionary, translate, switch back, and try to remember where I was. Multiply that by Chrome extensions, Anki decks, separate quiz apps — learning from podcasts meant juggling half a dozen tools. Kikitoru puts everything in one place so you never have to leave the episode.
What Kikitoru does
Drop in an audio file, paste a YouTube link, or subscribe to an RSS feed. Kikitoru turns it into a full course — interactive transcripts, vocabulary with JLPT levels, SRS flashcards, adaptive quizzes, shadowing drills where you repeat segments and get scored with feedback, and AI conversation practice using the host's cloned voice. One piece of media, a complete learning experience.
For creators
